Toronto international quotes can vary by 30–50% on the same shipment because providers include different things. Always compare on identical scope: same estimated volume, same service level (door-to-door vs port-to-port), same insurance level and the same destination charges. The cheapest top-line quote often becomes the most expensive once destination handling, port storage and customs exams are added.

Is CAM membership enough on its own?

It is a positive signal in Canada but is not the same as the international FIDI / FAIM audit. For a true international move, look for both where possible.

Can I move from Toronto without a household survey?

For a small studio it is sometimes possible by inventory list, but for any larger shipment a video or in-home survey produces a far more accurate quote and avoids surprise volume charges on packing day.

Who handles CBSA paperwork for inbound moves?

Usually the destination agent in Canada, working with you on a B4 or B4A personal-effects declaration. Confirm the agent is named and licensed before you ship.

Are inbound personal effects taxable?

Settlers' effects under the CBSA personal-effects program are generally duty- and tax-free if owned, possessed and used abroad before arrival. Specific items, alcohol and tobacco have separate rules. Confirm with CBSA.

How early should I book?
